Fence Installation

Cedar Fence Installation

Cedar is our most recommended privacy material: tighter grain than pine, natural rot and insect resistance, and a look that holds up year after year.

Why we build with cedar

Cedar is dense, dimensionally stable and takes stain beautifully. In the Mid-South it handles humidity and heat better than most fence lumber, which is why it is what we put on the majority of our privacy runs.

How it ages here

Left unstained it silvers to a soft gray within a season or two. Stained, it holds a rich tone for years. Humidity and summer sun are hard on any wood, which is why we push staining on every cedar job.

Frequently asked questions

How durable is a cedar fence?
Cedar is naturally rot resistant and holds up well here. The post is the part that decides fence life, which is why we offer galvanized steel posts on any cedar fence.
